The goals of the project were the establishment of back-up procedures for DB2/UDB databases that would allow for data-loss free reconstruction of the databases, as well as the establishment of automatic maintenance routines for DB2/UDB databases.

- Activation of the reconstruction procedures for updating diverse DB2/UDB databases
- Realization of the User-exit Program for the archival of log data
- Realization of communication to the TSM (Tivoli Storage Manager)
- Inclusion of the procedures in the Scheduler OPC/ESA
- Conception of the synchronization of the DB2/UDB-back-up procedures with the back-up procedures on file- and applications systems planes
- Realization of the scripts for the synchronization
- Conception of procedures for automated control and maintenance of objects in DB2/UDB databases
- Installation of the DB2/UDB-monitor SpeedGain
- Expansion and adaptation of the DB2/UDB-monitor SpeedGain
